- Renal Unit
The renal unit is the main dialysis centre for all hemodialysis
patients on Vancouver Island. Those that are well enough may
attend one of the self-care community dialysis facilities in
Victoria (Hillside), Duncan, Nanaimo, or Port Alberni, Cumberland. However,
all these patients start in this main dialysis unit and must
return here when they become too ill to be treated elsewhere.

in Victoria. This unit is the home hospital for all renal patients
on Vancouver Island.
